Unhappy living the 9 to 5 in Australia, I moved to Paris in 1999 to learn French and spend some time travelling. On a weekend trip to London in 2000 I met the man of my dreams and later moved there to be with him. London was never the city for me though and after moving back and forth between Australia and Europe a few times we eventually chose to make Paris our home.

Not long after settling France I started writing about life as an Aussie expat in France and my travels around Europe. But there’s only so much you can write about expat life so eventually I just focused on travel and that’s what I continue to do today.

There are so many places in the world I would love to visit but for now my travel goals include visiting every country in Europe by the end of 2013. So far I have visited 27 countries in Europe which means I’m more than half way there but I know I have to get a move on if I’m going to reach my goal. 🙂

It’s almost impossible to pick a favourite destination but countries I love visiting include:

  • France
  • Croatia
  • Germany
  • Austria
  • Italy

Nowadays I’m mostly interested in immersion travel and living like a local which I hope will lead to travelling slower in the coming years.
