Unhappy living the 9 to 5 in Australia, I moved to Paris in 1999 to learn French and travel around Europe. Not long after, I met the man of my dreams on a trip to London and later moved there to be with him. London was never the city for me though and after moving back and forth between Perth and London a few times we eventually decided to settle in Paris.
It was tough living in France without permission to work (which I did eventually get) so I created this blog to vent about the difficulties of being an expat in Paris as well as a way to meet fellow expats and bloggers. Of course I eventually settled into life in France and with nothing left to complain about I switched the focus of the blog to travelling in Europe.
Travelling in Europe, writing about new destinations and working on my travel photography is the dream life for me and I’m very fortunate to be able to do this full time. I’m building up the blog to (hopefully) be a great resource and source of inspiration for travellers looking to spend time in Europe. I know I have a long way to go to get there but I hope I’ve been able to help at least a few people.
There are so many places in the world I would love to visit but for now my travel goals include visiting every country in Europe by the end of 2012. So far I have visited 27 countries in Europe which means I’m more than half way there but I know I have to get a move on if I’m going to reach my goal.
It’s almost impossible to pick a favourite destination but countries I love visiting include:
- France
- Croatia
- Germany
- Austria
- Italy
Travel blogging is my profession which is why I’m always looking to work with like minded people. I am available for blog/press trips in Europe and will consider placing advertising and doing product reviews if the product/service is relevant to my readers.
